Social Work Program Overview

In collaboration with The College of Social Work, The Ohio State University at Mansfield offers the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) degree program. This program provides the opportunity to enroll and complete The Ohio State University's nationally recognized and fully accredited BSSW program with the convenience of a small-town setting close to home. It allows students to complete the program on either a fulltime or part-time basis. Students will be able to complete the entire four-year program on the Ohio State Mansfield campus through face-to-face and e-learning courses. The BSSW program begins the autumn semester of each academic year.

At Ohio State Mansfield, we enroll competitive students from diverse backgrounds and diverse practice interests. They receive the same quality educational experience as their Columbus campus counterparts. Classes are taught by College of Social Work faculty and community instructors using the same syllabi and texts used at the Columbus campus. Ohio State Mansfield students also benefit from a wide variety of field practicum experiences which may result in future employment opportunities. In addition, we offer a vast array of support services such as: housing, food service, financial aid counseling, academic advising, library services, student activities, computer labs, disability services, bookstore, physical activities center, free parking and more.
