The deadline to cancel an Autumn semester contract is June 1.

Fees for housing are assessed each academic semester and are due seven days before the beginning of a term, the same time as tuition.

Students are responsible for checking their university account prior to each semester and forwarding fee information to family members or to those responsible for making timely payment.

Rates and fees undergo a lengthy review and approval process and have not yet been finalized for the 2023-2024 year. Rates are subject to modification and final approval by the president and the Board of Trustees.

Housing assignments are based on the date that the completed contract and payment are received by University Housing Services in Columbus. Confirmation will be sent to your university email address. It is to the student’s advantage to submit their contract and payment as soon as possible. See timeline below. Due to the demand for housing at Ohio State Mansfield, there is no guarantee that space will be available for later contract receipts. Once housing is full, a wait list is maintained, and vacancies that occur due to cancellations are filled off the wait list. Confirmation of wait list status will be sent to your university email address. In the event that the university owned housing reaches capacity, we are fortunate to have a privately owned and operated student-only residential option adjacent to campus as well as area apartments willing to rent to students. Contracts cancelled before June 1 will have $150 of the $300 space reservation fee returned.

Roommate requests must be mutual and are preferred at the time the contract is completed. To select a roommate preference before June 1 and after a contract is submitted, contact housing@osu.edu. Requests received after June 1 will not be honored.

Housing assignments for autumn semester will be sent to the student’s Ohio State email address in mid-July. You will receive contact information for your roommate(s) and we encourage you to reach out to plan who is going to bring what to campus.
 

Roommates are matched via the questions asked on the housing contract. Being your true self, not ideal self, ensures that best possible roommate match.

Step 1: Check your Ohio State student email for your housing contract link once you are admitted to Ohio State Mansfield usually beginning in mid-March for Autumn and late-October for Spring.
Step 2: A $350.00 deposit is required for housing when submitting your contract. Contracts are completed online unless the student is under 18. Students under 18 must print their contract, have it signed by a parent or guardian and mail it to Housing Services. Roommate requests must be mutual.
JUNE 1 - Last day to cancel housing contracts and request roommates for autumn semester. Requests must be mutual.
Step 3: Students are notified of roommate information starting in mid-July
