New Student

You are considered a new student if you have never enrolled at a college or university after high school graduation. Students with College Credit Plus credit are considered freshmen.

Transfer Student

You are a transfer student if you have attended or are attending a college or university after graduating from high school.

Other Enrollment Options

  • College Credit Plus
    If you are a current high school student interested in taking college courses while you are in high school, you can enroll in the Academy, Ohio State's College Credit Plus program.
  • Extended Education
    If you are an adult student who wants to take undergraduate courses and are not currently interested in earning a degree, you should apply as an extended education student.
  • Program 60
    If you are an Ohio resident aged 60 or older, you may apply for this tuition-free lifelong learning experience. To earn a degree, you must apply using the applicable new student or transfer student application.
  • Campus Change or Returning Student
    If you are looking to campus change or have previously attended and would like to return, contact our office at (419) 755-4317 to set up an appointment with your advisor. No application necessary.

Transcript Information

All transcripts are to be sent to ugdocs@osu.edu. Transcripts delivered to the Mansfield campus in person or electronically by a counselor or student, can not be considered official. If a transcript can’t be electronically sent, transcripts may be mailed to:
