Debe Adams

Debe earned both her BS and MS in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University and obtained a certification in Secondary Mathematics from Eastern Illinois University. She began implementing The Algebra Project (AP) pedagogy in her high school classroom in 2009 and served as a professional development leader for high school math teachers through The Algebra Project.

Alongside her high school teaching and AP professional development services, Debe taught mathematics at her local Illinois community college before transitioning to a full-time instructor role at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. In 2017, she moved to Mansfield, Ohio, to join the OSU Math Literacy Initiative. She earned an S-MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2024 and currently teaches mathematics and personal finance courses at The Ohio State University.
