Get active, get involved
Learn, play, serve, belong
For many students, having a life outside the classroom (almost) is as important as academic life. As a student on the Mansfield campus, you’ll have countless opportunities to get involved in clubs and activities that allow you to explore your beliefs and develop who you are. It’s a wonderful part of the Buckeye Experience, and one that is uniquely your own.
We encourage students to find their individual voice, and join with others to impact a community that values diversity in people, culture and ideas.

A Community Dedicated to Service
Community service has become a tradition with Mansfield students who engage with the Mansfield community. Some coordinate service events like “Trunk or Treat”, some provide support to active-duty military, while others serve the children and families of Richland County. The Community Service Work Study program allows co-curricular education with local non-profits, fine arts organizations, or working at the local therapeutic equestrian center.
Students have a more positive college experience when they are focused on all dimensions of wellness. Recreational activities include competitive sports, intramurals, circuit training, resistance classes and other large-scale programs. Activities are open to all students whether you prefer indoor or outdoor activities, there is something for you.
The Mansfield Campus fields intercollegiate teams that will allow you to compete against other college teams in the Ohio Regional Campus Conference. Our coaching staff is looking for our next star in volleyball, basketball, baseball, and cheerleading. If you enjoyed Varsity athletics in high school, you may continue your sports career with the Mansfield Mavericks.
