Theatre - "Back to the Divine Comedy"

February 28, 2020, 7:30 p.m.
A modern Dante starts a journey to the afterlife with the hope of bringing back to life his dead young wife. Following the path of his ancestor, he walks through hell, purgatory, and heaven. Along the way bizarre characters show him how eternal life has changed during the last 700 years. It is a timeless story of love, loss, facing your fears, and finding your way. This work in development comes straight from Italy to an American premier in our theatre to celebrate the 700th anniversary of Dante’s original masterwork. Described by its creators (author Paolo Caselli and composer Claudio Caselli) as "a bit of musical, a bit of rock opera," it blends styles as diverse as those found in Rocky Horror, Alice in Wonderland, Grease, and West Side Story, and all based on the poem The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. For ticket information, call 419-755-4045.

The College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Science faculty, staff, and extension educators are working with the campus to manage its 600+ acres of woodlands. There are many exciting areas to tour on campus, such as a new sugar bush (the place where trees are tapped for maple syrup) and a vemal pool that is home to salamanders! Come join us as we tour the sugar bush, take a break to eat pancakes with Ohio State's very own maple syrup, then visit a vemal pool to learn about the fascinating lives of salamanders.. What more could you want on a Saturday morning? Register by February 24 at woodlandstewards.osu.edu. The cost is $10 per person (kids are free). For more information, please contact titchenell.4@osu.edu.
