Meet Our Staff

Tammy Smith
Programs Coordinator
Office of Student Engagement

Tammy has worked on the Mansfield campus for 29 years, the last 13 of which have been spent in the Office of Student Engagement. She looks at the campus as her second home, and enjoys being a part of the campus community, especially interacting with our students in the Union. She has two grown sons, and has recently become a first-time grandmother. She loves going to Buckeye football games, and still gets goosebumps when she witnesses Script Ohio. She also has begun working on her "bucket" list and is determined to learn to two-step and play guitar, among other goals. A fun fact about Tammy is that for eight years she coached cheerleading at a local high school.

Andy Sokolich
Coordinator
Office of Student Engagement

Andy joined the Office of Student Engagement in July 2016. Originally from Cleveland, Andy completed his Bachelor of Business Administration at Kent State University in 2013 and his Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Ohio State in Columbus in 2015. Andy advises the Campus Activities Board, coordinates student organizations, and organizes many activities on campus, including leadership programming, Welcome Week, and April Craze. He loves being a Buckeye because of the sense of pride that comes with being an alumnus of The Ohio State University. In his spare time, Andy enjoys reading, rock climbing, crafting, and exploring the outdoors.

The Office of Student Engagement hires students eligible for the Federal Work-Study Student Employment program. Responsibilities range from creating advertisements for events, staffing large-scale student programs and events, maintaining campus bulletin boards and advertising space, and other administrative tasks. Students work between 8 and 12 hours per week. Are you interested in joining our team for the 2018-2019 school year? Email Tammy Smith at smith.173@osu.edu for an application!
