Stavros T. Constantinou, PhD
Stavros T. Constantinou is Associate Professor of Geography at The Ohio State University, Mansfield Campus. Constantinou’s teaching responsibilities have included the following courses: Extreme Weather and Climate, Human Geography, World Regional Geography, Our Global Environment, (Physical Geography: Environmental Issues), Economic Geography, World Urbanization, Political Geography, and Business Statistics. Additionally, Constantinou offered the Geography of the European Union as an Education Abroad program in Cyprus in 2018 and 2019.
His research interests include the study of migration and ethnicity from the quantitative point of view. His published research includes two major studies on emigration from Greece to the United States and emigration from Cyprus to the United Kingdom (with Nicholas D. Diamantides) as well as a study of Greek American ethnic identity (with Milton E. Harvey). In addition to survey data, he has used census and church records to examine the changing spatial dimensions of Greek populations in the United States.
Constantinou presented his research at national and international professional meetings, and presented his research to university groups, and Greek American communities.
