Fitness Classes


Fitness classes are a great way to stay active, meet fellow exercise enthusiasts and relieve stress and tension from classes, work and life. These classes are free to all Ohio State Mansfield and North Central State College students, faculty and staff. All you need to do is show up with your campus ID. Classes are also “Open to the Community.” Punch cards may be purchased for the community class at The Ohio State University Mansfield Business Office.

Mindful-Based Stress Reduction- Instructor: Lisa McManes

Lisa McManes is a certified Meditation Trainer in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Lisa is also a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy Of Sports Medicine and owner of McManes Personal Training. Each 30 minute class will be slightly different as we practice different mind-body meditative practices and principles to help you draw upon your inner resources for greater health, balance, and peace of mind.

  • Approach your life with more composure, energy, understanding and enthusiasm
  • Develop the ability to cope more effectively with both short-term and long-term stressful situations
  • Improve your focus

Veraflow - Instructor: Lisa McManes

Lisa McManes is a certified Meditation Trainer in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Lisa is also a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy Of Sports Medicine and owner of McManes Personal Training.

Veraflow is a dance-based stretch class with mindfulness. It is a fun way of introducing flexibility and mobility into your routine because of the dance elements. It is all done to music. Each class ends with a mindfulness session.

What to Bring: Yoga Mat, water and a notebook/journal if you want to write thoughts down during guided meditation.
