Club Ed
This is a campus organization that is open to all education majors. Meetings provide education students with information that will prepare them for success in the program and in their future careers. Speakers from the Educator Preparation Unit of Ohio State University bring helpful handouts and hints about applying for the initial teaching license. Administrators from local schools share strategies for a successful job search and interview. The Ohio State Mansfield department personnel prepare students for application to the licensure cohort and meet periodically to answer questions. Club members plan outreach opportunities into local schools with on-campus collection sites of slightly used children’s books, hats and mittens, healthy snacks. Club Ed provides a place to connect with other students in the education program who share similar goals and ideas.
