Terri Bucci

Associate Professor and Director, Program Coordinator, Education Department

Dr. Bucci received her doctorate in Mathematics Education from The Ohio State University's School of Teaching and Learning. She has 14 years of classroom teaching experience in both middle and high school mathematics and 25 years of experience in teacher education at The Ohio State University. She teaches courses in middle and elementary school mathematics methods, learning theories, diversity and inclusion in education, and developmental mathematics. Her research interests focus on civil-rights based mathematics and power-sharing in the mathematics classroom. Dr. Bucci has extensive experience in the applications of The Algebra Project in mathematics instruction including the principles of grounding metaphors, organizing around the mathematics, and 5-step curricular practices.
