Red has 35+ years of classroom teaching experience in education (middle school, secondary, and post-secondary), arriving at The Ohio State University at Mansfield in 2016. He has extensive experience as a Formative Instructional Practices (FIP) facilitator and Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA) assessor/lead assessor/master coder, and has worked with education systems in Idaho and Kentucky.  He also acted as a Resident Educator mentor to numerous teachers, and assisted with the implementation of the Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES), Race to the Top, and No Child Left Behind programs during his time teaching at the high school level. Red earned his MS in Instruction and Curriculum from the University of Scranton, and his BS in Education from The Ohio State University.   

Red currently supervises and coordinates field placements in both student teaching internships and FEEP, and leads instruction in student teaching internship, FEEP, methodology, and assessment courses at Ohio State Mansfield.
