mansfield/math_literacy/strong.jpgMargaret Strong is the program coordinator of the Ohio State Mansfield Mathematics Literacy Initiative and the Springmill Learning Center. She is currently working for Ohio State Mansfield at the Springmill location with her time divided between the Mathematics Literacy Initiative and Springmill Learning Center. Strong is working with the team on ways to utilize the facility with students in the face of large budget cuts within the Mansfield City Schools and launching the Math Literacy Initiative for in-service and pre-service teacher professional development in the area of Mathematics. She is responsible for scheduling, marketing, communications, curriculum development, assisting with professional development sessions, building operations, social media, and acts as a liaison between Ohio State Mansfield and the Mansfield City Schools personnel. Ms. Strong is a teacher on special assignment from the Mansfield City Schools where she has taught since 1999 and has been involved with the Math Teacher Leader program since 2012. She is a certified to teach 1-8 in the state of Ohio, has her Math Endorsement, and is currently working on completing her B.A. in Mathematics Education.
