Ohio State Mansfield awards over $250k in special scholarship each year from nearly 30 scholarship funds. These special scholarships are designated for the Mansfield Campus through the generosity of donors and alumni, new and current students are awarded through the Ohio State Mansfield office of Student Financial Aid. To be considered for one of these scholarships, all students must complete the 2024-2025 scholarship application via ScholarshipUniverse. Please note, some special scholarships require completion of the FAFSA.

Regional Campus Commitment

The Regional Campus Commitment will provide eligible new first-year students enrolling at the Lima, Mansfield, Marion or Newark campuses or Ohio State ATI in Wooster with the opportunity to attend Ohio State tuition-free.
Beginning in Autumn 2026, the Regional Campus Commitment program will cover tuition and mandatory fees for low-to-middle income, new first-year students.
To qualify, new first-year students must:
- Be Ohio residents
- Enroll at an Ohio State regional campus or Ohio State ATI in Wooster
- File the FAFSA annually by the priority deadline
- Maintain full-time enrollment at Ohio State
- Have a family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $100,000 or less (verified through FAFSA)
This award will be available to students for up to eight semesters, whether they remain at a regional campus/Ohio State ATI or transition to the Columbus campus.

The University offers hundreds of scholarships with a wide variety of eligibility criteria. To apply, first file the FAFSA https://studentaid.gov/fafsa-app/ROLES, and then complete the ScholarshipUniverse application by the priority deadline, February 15, 2025.

The fund provides one or more scholarships to students who are enrolled in The Ohio State University at Mansfield (“Mansfield Campus”) and have a minimum 2.5 grade point average. Preference shall be given to candidates who plan to become educators, preferably in Mansfield or Richland Counties, Ohio. Additional preference shall be given to candidates who demonstrate financial need but are non-Pell-eligible.
Led and funded by the Ohio Department of Higher Education, the Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program is part of Ohio's strategic effort to bolster the state in the global marketplace of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine, or STEMM. Choose Ohio First awards competitive scholarship funding to Ohio's colleges and universities to support undergraduate and qualifying graduate students in innovative academic programs. Awardees for 2021-2022 were awarded more than $3,300 for this academic year to use toward completing the bachelor’s degree program. The scholarship is renewable. Scholarship recipients will engage in industry- or peer-mentoring or tutoring, help recruiters promote the engineering technology program to prospective students, attend and present on the student experience to the industry advisory board, participate in the annual State of Ohio Choose Ohio First Showcase, and become involved in professional organizations.
Established May 5, 1995, from Copperweld Corporation-Shelby Division of Shelby, Ohio. Income provides scholarships to students attending the Mansfield campus.
Renewable award open to new and continuing students based on educational diversity with financial need.
Renewable award open to new and continuing graduates of Galion High School.
Renewable award open to new and continuing students pursuing geography or environmental sciences related major.
Awards may be made by the Theatre and English departments to deserving continuing students.
Provide one-time scholarship(s) for local, continuing, engineering student(s) attending the Mansfield campus who demonstrate strong academic performance (3.0 or higher). Preference will be given to students having served in an industry internship position. One letter of recommendation required from a Mansfield faculty or staff member.
Renewable award open to new students who are majoring in physical science, math, or engineering.
Renewable (up to 8 semesters) annual award with preference to a new student who is full time, from a Richland County high school, with demonstrated financial need.
Renewable award open to new and continuing students who graduated from Loudonville-Perrysville school district or live in this community.
Scholarships awarded to North Central State College graduates to financially assist their next step of earning a bachelor’s degree at Ohio State Mansfield.
Continuing undergraduate (3rd year rank or higher) and graduate students who plan to graduate from Ohio State Mansfield may apply for consideration. Students may also reapply who have received previously. Campus and community involvement and GPA above a 3.0 required. One letter of recommendation required from a Mansfield faculty or staff member.
Renewable award open to new and continuing students who are full-time and pursuing a degree in education. Financial need and academic excellence will be considered.
Renewable scholarships for fulltime students pursuing degrees in history, political science, or math on the Mansfield campus.
Award open to new and continuing students graduating from Mansfield Senior High School. Preference is given to applicants to have completed all four years at Mansfield Senior High on time (with original freshman class), take ACT, complete FASFA, submit a university application, and enroll full-time for fall semester.
Renewable award open to new and continuing students, with preference to students with a math or math related major. New students should have four years of college preparatory math and a strong high school mathematics record.
Renewable award open to new and continuing students pursuing a business- or finance-related major.
Established May 2, 1997, from their estates. Income provides scholarships to Mansfield campus students.
