Science Saturdays at Springmill – Last chance!

The fourth and final Science Saturday takes place this Saturday at Springmill Learning Center, 1200 Nestor Drive, Mansfield, OH from 9am-12pm.

Designed for 3rd-8th graders and their families, each Science Saturday consists of hands-on adventures in science and math. New and exciting activities each Saturday take place in some of the learning galleries, including Measuring Mars, Number Sense, CSI, Feathers and Flight, the Gadget Gallery, and more!

Students and their parents often come every month, as activities rotate through different galleries, and instructors change lesson plans. Students will visit four galleries each Saturday between 9am and 12pm. Their teachers include Ohio State Mansfield faculty as well as local teachers, some of whom are Ohio State Mansfield alumni. In addition, Ohio State Mansfield student teachers staff an activities room for younger siblings.

Instructors include Gabe Costa (principal of Spanish Immersion and of Springmill); Ohio State faculty Ozeas Costa, Adrienne Hopson, Gary Kennedy, Dawn Kitchen, Carol Landry, Agus Muñoz Garcia. Alumni, friends and volunteers include Suzanna Hammond, Ryan Hostettler, Tony Baer, and Laura Gibson, Christina Drain and Ally Hostettler.

Super Saturdays is supported by Ohio State Mansfield, Mansfield City Schools, and a Richland County Foundation Connections Grant.
