Artist Statement from Scott Osborne
“I started playing at age 13 and started teaching banjo lessons in high school in Ashland and later in Mansfield. I’ve opened for major country music stars, played banjo for bluegrass hall of famers and currently I am the band leader and banjo player for the Lincoln Highway Bluegrass Band. We are currently sharing the stage with some of bluegrass’s biggest stars.”
On Wednesday, July 15, Scott will lead a (completely free) all-levels guitar workshop at the Richland Academy of the Arts. Scott will be leading a special all-levels session focused on bluegrass styles and giving guitar players and banjo players a chance to jam together and have fun!
No prior experience is required, and instruments will be available for those who need them.
