Please encourage students to submit their own fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction in the Creative Writing contests. Faculty, please consider your students’ work for Writing Across Curriculum entries, which includes academic writing in various forms, such as reports, essays, research papers, and more. The deadline is Friday, February 20, 2026.

Submission Rules:
- Contestants must be currently enrolled through Spring 2026 as Mansfield students and not enrolled from another campus or via college credit plus
- WAC papers eligible from classes Spring 2025 to Spring 2026, up to 2 entries submitted by a faculty member
- Creative Writing up to 2 entries per genre, submitted by students.
Awards:
- First place awards in each category $100
- Second places $50
