Buckeye Living and Learning Community
Buckeye Living and Learning Community is a learning community for first-year students that offers support and guidance to help students have an academically successful first year in college. Students also develop a valuable network of friends and mentors. In other words, the students and faculty in Buckeye Living and Learning Community become your family on campus and provide you with the support you need to navigate that first year. First generation students and students of color are encouraged to apply.
Students in Buckeye Living and Learning Community participate in program-facilitated activities, meet with an academic success coordinator a minimum of two times a semester, meet with an academic advisor a minimum of two times a semester, enroll in two one hour required seminars together with other students from Buckeye Living and Learning Community and visit the Conard Learning Center bi-weekly during spring semester.
The community focuses on academic and personal success and social justice as it relates to the environment and natural resources. We will acquaint students with how to relate these issues to their major or consider applying for majors in these areas.
