TAG Event - Poet Katie Wirsing

Join us for our October Tuesday Afternoon Get-together (TAG) event featuring poet Katie Wirsing. Katie has performed at over 400 college campuses, is a member of the National Poetry Slam Championship team, and a finalist at the Women of the World Poetry Slam. She is a loud advocate for trans rights, feminism, and mental health awareness. Never afraid of difficult truths, her show is one part pride parade, one part therapy session, one part rally cry, and a million parts healing. Free food for all who attend.

"Kira Hayes is currently completing her final year of the Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate program at North Central University with honors. Her specialization is in LGBTQ Couple and Family Therapy which is inclusive of Polyamorous and other forms of ethical non-monogamous relationships. In addition to having a professional life in Polyamory, she has personally identified as polyamorous for over seven years. Kira has given numerous presentations on Polyamory at both the collegiate level and at sex positive and informative public events for the past six years such as UC Irvine Human Sexuality classes, Ohio State University Campus Events, and San Diego PRIDE to name a few."

Richland Idea Audition

​Richland County residents will pitch their ideas for new products, businesses, and services during the Richland Idea Audition. Five contestants who make it to the final round will pitch their ideas to an audience (public is welcome at 6:30 pm) and a panel of judges. The focus of the pitch contest is to support new business, help entrepreneurs get a new business off the ground, and introduce entrepreneurs to the community for support. The Richland County Foundation, Richland Area Chamber of Commerce, Richland Community Development Group (RCDG), The Ohio State University at Mansfield, Braintree Business Development Center, Small Business Development Center, and North Central Ohio SCORE are co-hosting the nice version of Shark Tank to boost local entrepreneurship.

The National Society of Leadership and Success is excited to announce the first guest speaker for the Fall 2018 Speaker Broadcast season. Mehmet Oz, better known as Dr. Oz, is an Emmy-winning television personality, cardiothoracic surgeon, and six-time New York best-selling author. HealthCorps is a national not for profit founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz and Lisa Oz, which gives teens tools to improve physical and mental health so they can learn to live more productive and happier lives. Founded in 2003, HealthCorps' mission is to strengthen communities with the most innovative approaches to health and wellness to help the next generation be more resilient, both mentally and physically. HealthCorps students exercise more, eat better, and practice positive thought,.Students interact with the speakers via Twitter and Facebook during the broadcast. The event is open to all students, members and non-members, and community guests. No ticket is required to attend. Students interact with the speakers via Twitter and Facebook during each broadcast. The featured speaker is TBA. Membership is not a requirement to attend, and the event is open to the public. She is the Culinary Ambassador for Sweet Home Cafe at the Smithsonian National Museum for African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.
