Admission Criteria

Ohio residents will be granted admission on a non-competitive basis if they have obtained a high school diploma or GED.

  1. Complete admissions application.
  2. Before you submit your application, you will be charged a nonrefundable application processing fee of $60. This fee is valid for one year. Your application will not be reviewed until this fee is paid.
  3. Official transcript of your high school course work.

Priority Federal Student Aid Date: February 1
Submit the FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov to be considered for need-based aid.

What happens after I am admitted?

  1. Activate your Ohio State username and email account.
  2. Pay your $100 acceptance fee.
  3. Register for orientation.
  4. Apply for university housing.
  5. Complete the FAFSA.

Transfer

You are a transfer student if you have attended or are attending a college or university after graduating from high school.

If you have earned at least a 2.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) on your post secondary course work, we will review your academic performance in college to determine your eligibility for admission.

  1. Complete admissions application.

  4. Official high school transcripts (if less than 30 semester hours of college coursework)

Special Populations Student

You are a high school student wanting to attend Ohio State Mansfield while in high school, a continuing education or transient student, a student wanting to change campuses, or a returning student.

College Credit Plus

High school student who wishes to take Ohio State classes while in high school: Apply to Ohio State's post-secondary program: The Ohio State Academy.

Continuing Education or Transient Student

If you are a student completing prerequisites for a graduate or professional degree; a student from another college who wants to transfer Ohio State credit to another degree program; or an adult student who wants to take undergraduate courses (non-degree enrollment), apply through the Office of Distance Education and eLearning (ODEE).
