Course Information

Principles of Oceanography will provide students with an understanding of the origin, development, and structure of ocean basins and their contents, as well as the physical, chemical, geological and biological processes that affects the ocean environment, the atmosphere, and our climate.

Credit hours: 5
GEC categories: Natural Science (Physical Science). Sequences: 100-206
Prerequisites: 100 or 121 or Geol Sci 100, 121
Class Times: Mondays AND Wednesdays (10am - 12pm)
Laboratory times:  Mondays (1pm - 3pm)
