Sand Volleyball Tournament

​Everyone is invited to come over to the Buckeye Village sand volleyball courts for a cookout and sand volleyball tournament. You can bring a team or let us place you on one! The event is sponsored by the Campus Recreation Center (CRC). Hope to see you there!

Night of Worship with Awakening

To usher in the new school year, Awakening is holding a worship night at The Ohio State University at Mansfield. The event will take place in Founders Auditorium in Ovalwood Hall. Doors open at 8 p.m. and music begins at 8:30 p.m. Come for a time of worship, fellowship and fun!

Comedian Francisco Ramos (TAG)

​Tuesday, September 12, 12:30-1:30 pm, Eisenhower Student Union, 2nd floor Eisenhower Center ​Join us for the first Tuesday Afternoon Get-together (TAG) event of the year when we welcome comedian Francisco Ramos to campus. Ramos is a bicultural and bilingual comedian who's performed in both English and Spanish. He made it to the top 10 finalists on NBC's "Last Comic Standing." You can also see him on Maria Bamford's Netflix show "Lady Dynamite." In July of 2016 he won Cozi TV's Comedy Search and was selected to perform at the Lucille Ball Comedy Fest. He's also appeared in the Byron Allen Show "First Family," Jimmy Kimmel Live and Comedy Central's @Midnight. He has also used his voice to create memorable characters in animation as the voice of the King Marmoset in the movie "RIO" as well as for the film "Marmaduke." Francisco moved to the States from Venezuela as a teenager. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a double major in Finance and International Business, he discovered his true love was comedy. His parents didn't find that too funny, but when you catch his act, you will!

Power of the Pollinators Open House

​Would you like to learn more about Ohio's pollinators and how to help them? Stop by this free event and get all your questions answered while enjoying snacks and conversations with experts. You can learn even more by attending any or all of the following talks: ​Native Bees in Your Backyard​ at 4:30 pm, ​Pollinators Need Woodlands, Too!​ at 5:00 pm, and ​Native Plant ID & Seed Collection​ at 5:30 pm. Free plants and seed packets will be given out as well. The event is co-sponsored with the Ohio State University College of food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and First Energy. U.S. Constitution - Myths vs. Facts

On Constitution Day, join students, faculty, and staff for free lunch and an interactive discussion about the history of the United States Constitution and demystify some common myths, while learning about how our Founding Fathers truly intended the Constitution to be enacted. This discussion will be led by Dr. Heather Tanner and other members of the Ohio State Mansfield faculty.

Dyslexia: What It's Like...

The Ohio State Mansfield Education Department is pleased to present a free dyslexia simulation. the presentation is open to Ohio State students, and faculty, as well to local area teachers.Presenters are Jennifer Lahaie, M.Ed., C.A.L.T. who is the current president of the International Dyslexia Association in Northern Ohio, and Beth Reusser, C.A.L.T. who is an active board member on the Olentangy Dyslexia Network and the International Dyslexia Association in Central Ohio. Suicide Prevention Program

​Joe Trolian, Executive Director at the Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Richland County, will present a suicide prevention program. Several local agencies will be on hand to provide information about mental health and wellness. Lunch will be provided. All campus students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend. The event is open to our community members.

Join Julia Shearson and Isam Zaiem from the Council on American Islamic Relations as they help us separate fact from fiction regarding the true nature of the Islamic faith and its precepts. Join us for an evening with local candidates Cliff Mears, Mansfield City Councilman at Large; Andrew Medwid, running for Ontario Law Director, and Neil Chitwood running for Clerk of Mansfield Municipal Courts.
