The Department of Athletics and Recreation employs approximately 15-20 student employees in positions such as office assistants, intramural game supervisors, intramural referees, intercollegiate athletic competition management, and other duties pertaining to the operation of the department. Independent decision making skills. Provide input and assistance in programming/activities development, scheduling, and operation as needed. Provide information to students, faculty, staff, and parents about the Campus Recreation Center, policies, services, and equipment. Check for valid identification. Distribute and
explain equipment. Receive training in sports timekeeping and scorekeeping. Be CPR and First Aid certified. Inspect, guard, and secure building doors as appropriate. Answer phones, provide basic information as needed and take messages. Possess the ability to work without direct supervision. Basic cleaning, maintenance, and operation of equipment. Operate office machines. Take inventory. Training for required tasks and skills shall be provided as deemed necessary.
