Why an Internship?
“I always encourage students to take advantage of internship opportunities--especially when they can be paid a stipend to offset the time they're spending not working their regular jobs. At the very least, you figure out what you do or don't want to do with your life, and more likely, you'll learn about career options that you didn't even know existed and meet people who may become valuable mentors and professional contacts later on. Finally, when you have an internship on your resume, an employer can see how you have already begun to translate your academic interests into desirable job skills. That may just set you above the rest of the applicants.”
