Application procedures for new graduate degree seeking students

- All individuals interested in graduate programs at OSU must apply on line to graduate school (requires online payment of application fee).
- For the Master of Arts program, the following documents are to be received at The Ohio State University, Office of Graduate & Professional Admissions, P.O. Box 182004, Columbus, OH 43218-2004, by the published application deadline:

- One set of official transcripts of all previous college work (other than OSU) sent directly from previous colleges to OSU.
- Scores from the General Test of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) if the applicant’s GPA is below the minimum (3.0) required for consideration.
- TOEFL scores (if required by international students).
- The following documents are to be received by the Education Counselor on the Mansfield Campus, 1760 University Drive, Mansfield, OH 44906, by the published deadline:

- A second set of official transcripts of all previous college work (other than OSU) sent directly from previous colleges to OSU.
- Three letters of recommendation, (four preferred) using the forms found at the graduate admissions website.
- Biographical Statement of Intent printed on a plain piece of paper.
- Resume or curriculum vita.

Application procedures for new graduate non-degree seeking students

- For students who miss the regular graduate program admission dates OR who are just interested in taking a class or two and not pursue a master’s, EdS, or Phd degree, the graduate non-degree option is available.
- All individuals interested in graduate programs at OSU must apply on line to graduate school at http://www.gradsch.ohio-state.edu/Depo/PDF/TransferGradProgram.pdf (requires online payment of application fee). There is a link for “apply a non-degree seeking student.”

Application procedures for returning graduate students

- Returning graduate students must reactivate their status with the graduate school.
