Kate Shannon is an Assistant Professor of Art at The Ohio State University. The recipient of the 2013 Ohio State University Mansfield Campus Award for Excellence in Scholarship, she explores notions of desire, consumption, fulfillment, and loss through digitally manipulated photographs. She has exhibited her work across the United States, most recently at The Masur Museum of Art in Monroe, LA; Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, OH; the Zhou B Art Center Gallery in Chicago, IL; The Contemporary Arts Center Las Vegas in Las Vegas, NV; and the Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, IL.  Shannon received her Master of Fine Arts degree in studio art from The Ohio State University and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art from the University of Kentucky.
