What's most important to know about me? I am a wife and mother of five children including one child with special needs. I also have 16 grandchildren. As you might guess, our family is very important to my husband and I. Consequently, we spend most of our free time with our children and grandchildren. I have a passion for mathematics and mathematics education. I was a stay-at-home mom while raising my children. I began teaching in 1985 as a 7th & 8th grade math teacher once my children were all in school. After 5 years, I became the Math Lab Coordinator at OSU-Mansfield. Eventually, I was named the Director of the Conard Learning Center which includes the Math Lab. Currently, my primary duties include teaching math classes, managing the Conard Learning Center, and assisting students in the Math Lab. Recently, I have worked with teachers from Columbus Brookhaven High School and Lima Senior High School as a math coach through the Knowledgworks Foundation OHSTI Initiative. Through this work, I have experienced first hand the challenges faced by large urban schools. This work has provided a valualbe opportunity for my own professional growth. Last but not least, I am an avid Buckeye! GO BUCKS!!!
