What are the requirements to be accepted?

The Ohio State University at Mansfield is an open-admission campus for all Ohio high school graduates. Ohio Residents will be granted admission on a non-competitive basis if they have obtained a high school diploma or GED. Although we do not require ACT or SAT, we recommend you report your scores for scholarship purposes.

What kind of scholarships do you offer?

We offer merit and need-based scholarships. In addition to those types, we also offer scholarship opportunities for students where eligibility is based on geography, program of study, and involvement in high school.

What majors do you offer at Ohio State Mansfield?

All of Ohio State’s 175 majors can be started at the Mansfield campus. However, you can finish an Ohio State degree in 9 areas at Ohio State Mansfield without ever leaving our campus. They include: Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies, History, English, Psychology, Sociology, General Business, Social Work, Early Childhood Education, and Middle Childhood Education.

If I start at the Mansfield Campus, what are the requirements to transition the Columbus campus?

The minimum stated by the university to move from a regional campus like Mansfield to the Columbus campus is a 2.0 cumulative GPA while completing at least 30 semester hours at Mansfield. Although this will allow you to campus change to the Columbus campus, a GPA of higher than a 2.0 will be required for most majors.

Do you have student housing on your campus?

Yes, we have on campus student housing options for our students. All student housing is apartment-style and within walking distance to campus. Our students have the opportunity to live in university-owned or privately-owned apartments.

Can I have a car at Ohio State Mansfield?

Our students (including freshman) are allowed to have a car on our campus and at our housing locations. There is no fee for parking, and there are spaces available in the campus core.

Can I get football tickets while a student at Ohio State Mansfield?

Our students are eligible to purchase both football and basketball tickets. Students must pay their Acceptance Fee by May 1st to receive football ticket information. There is no preference given to a student as far as their campus of enrollment in regard to athletic tickets.

What is there to do on campus?

Students at Ohio State Mansfield are involved in a large variety of activities including varsity and intramural sports, social and academic clubs, on and off campus jobs, arts and theatre, and research.

Can I play sports at Ohio State Mansfield?

Yes, you can participate on our athletic teams, the Mansfield Mavericks. We have teams for men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, baseball, soccer, and cheerleading. The Mansfield Mavericks compete in the ORCC (Ohio Regional Campus Conference).

How much is tuition?

Full-time tuition for a school year (two academic terms) is currently $7,140. Housing, books, meal plan, and other related expenses are not calculated in the tuition price.

How do I apply?

If you plan to apply for the Columbus campus while maintaining eligibility for the Mansfield campus, you must apply through the CommonApp, which can be accessed at commonapp.org or apply.osu.edu. If you want to apply directly to Ohio State Mansfield, you should visit apply.osu.edu and select the second option, “Apply to a Regional Campus/ATI”.

What do I do if I want to apply and I missed the online application deadline?

If you have missed the online application deadline, you should contact the Office of Admissions at 419-755-4317 to schedule an appointment with a counselor. If you meet certain criteria, you could come to campus and apply and be admitted on the spot!
