DescriptionAn introductory study of significant works of U.S. literature from its colonial origins to the present, treating the development of literary history; literary forms and themes; and intellectual and social contexts. Prereq: 1110.01 (110.01) or equivalent. Either 2290 (290) or 291 is required of non-honors English majors. Not open to students with credit for 2290 (290), 2290H, or 291. GE lit course.
