Severe Weather Policy and Procedures

The basic policy of OSU‑M and NC State is to keep our institu­tions in operation except in the most severe weather conditions.  There will be a number of times when the public schools might close, but the campus will remain open.

If overnight weather forces a closing, announcements will be made on every major radio station in the five or six county area and on WOSU in Columbus.  The stations will be notified at least by 7:00 a.m.  PLEASE LISTEN CAREFULLY TO THE ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SPECIFIC IN­STRUCTIONS. 

Radio stations will not announce closing of individual classes.

Sometimes morning classes may have to be cancelled, but not afternoon or evening classes.  Listen carefully!
