The Communication Workers of America Bargaining Unit has well-established grievance procedures outlined in the Bargaining Agreement.

All other staff must follow these steps:

1.       Discuss the issue with your immediate supervisor or your unit supervisor.

2.       If the above measures fail to bring resolution, you may discuss the issues with the Dean/Director. 

If these informal steps do not bring resolution, the staff member may follow the formal procedures outline in the Office of Human Resources Policy 8.20, “Employment Disputes and Complaints of Discrimination” (http://hr.osu.edu/policy/).

The staff member or supervisor may ask the Office of Human Resources to assist.

If the grievance involves sexual harassment or salaries, follow the procedures outlined in separate sections of this manual.
