Each quarter instructors are asked to write descriptions for next quarter’s courses. These descriptions follow an outline format which can be found on the campus website. The Center for Instructional Design and Development can assist you with this process if you encounter any snags.
These descriptions constitute the only source available to students for important information about your courses (content, kind and amount of paperwork, grading procedures, etc.). Students viewing these online descriptions see the dates on which they were created. “Stale” dates suggest to students that descriptions might no longer be accurate. It is therefore important to update your descriptions regularly. Remember that students begin pre-registering for classes in the middle of the previous quarter.
