Andronic "Nick" Orosan has joined OSU Mansfield as its first full-time development officer. In this role, he will assist individuals, corporations, and foundations to make meaningful impacts on students, faculty, and staff, as well as in surrounding communities, through a variety of mutually-beneficial giving opportunities.

Orosan has an extensive background in community relations, with specific focus on fund raising and communications. Most recently, he was membership manager for OSU's Wexner Center of the Arts, and individual giving coordinator for the Center of Science and Industry in Columbus.

During the late 1980s, he served as a print and broadcast journalist, anchoring closed circuit radio and television broadcasts aboard the USS Forrestal.

Orosan, who joined the campus in December, holds a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. He is an Academy of Leadership and Governance Fellow.

OSU Mansfield, NC State, and MedCentral College of Nursing received a big surprise during the opening of Embarq's new Ontario store. In opening the store, Embarq senior manager, Chriss Harrris, provided a $3,800 scholarship gift to be divided equally among the three educational institutions. The amount was in honor of Embarq's 38th retail store.
