Course Objectives: Dance 200 follows the development of Euro-American dance from the sixteenth century through the present, with a focus on ballet and modern dance. This course will highlight ballet, modern, and contemporary choreographers as a vehicle to examine trends in concert dance in Europe and the United States from the sixteenth through twenty-first centuries.
